ADX Links to Amman Stock Exchange via Tabadul Platform
ADX and the Amman Stock Exchange will launch an electronic trading link via the Tabadul platform, extending the Abu Dhabi hub's regional network to Jordan. Go-live date and instrument scope await disclosure.

- No launch date, instrument scope or technical specifications were disclosed in the announcement.
The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has agreed with the Amman Stock Exchange to launch an electronic trading link carried over the Tabadul platform, the Abu Dhabi Media Office announced. The arrangement connects the UAE and Jordanian markets through a digital channel rather than mutual cross-listing, extending Tabadul's reach to a second regional partner exchange.
Tabadul is ADX's digital trading and data hub, built to interconnect Gulf and wider Middle Eastern markets. The platform already underpins ADX's linkage arrangements with other regional bourses, and the Amman deal follows the same model: investors on each side gain an electronic route to securities quoted on the other market, without relocating listing or custody infrastructure.
What does the link change for execution desks?
The practical effect is routing, not new instruments. Buy-side firms with UAE or Jordan exposure can reach Amman- or Abu Dhabi-listed names through their existing local broker relationships, assuming their counterparties connect to Tabadul. Settlement and custody remain market-by-market, so desks should treat the link as an access layer rather than a consolidated venue. No changes to order types, market data licensing or tick sizes were announced in the statement.
For sell-side brokers, the agreement widens the addressable client base without opening a local branch in the partner market. That is the same cost-and-footprint logic ADX applied in its earlier Tabadul linkages. The Media Office announcement did not specify a go-live date, a phased rollout schedule or the instrument scope — equities only or fixed income as well — leaving those details to a subsequent technical announcement.
Mandated versus still to be defined
What is fixed: the two exchanges have signed on the partnership and named Tabadul as the delivery channel. What is not yet defined: launch timing, eligible securities, member onboarding requirements, trading hours alignment between Abu Dhabi and Amman, and any latency or connectivity specifications vendors will need to support.
Middle East time zones overlap closely — Abu Dhabi runs one hour ahead of Amman — so a synchronised session is operationally straightforward compared with cross-region links. Still, desks routing through the connection will want confirmation of cut-off times for cross-market orders and the custody chain before committing flow.
The regional integration pattern
The deal fits a broader Gulf pattern: exchanges in the region are choosing bilateral electronic links over mergers or full mutual-access regimes. Tabadul positions ADX as the hub of that network, with each new partner adding addressable liquidity to the platform. The Amman Stock Exchange, for its part, gains a channel to UAE-based investors who have historically been a significant source of regional portfolio capital.
Neither exchange quantified expected volume uplift, and no volume figures for Tabadul's existing links appear in the announcement. Firms evaluating connectivity should treat those metrics as asserted until the exchanges publish measured figures after launch.
A launch date, eligible-instrument list and member technical specifications are the next disclosures to watch; until then, the linkage remains a signed framework rather than a tradeable connection.
